Chris "Funnyman" Robinson's Laugh it Up Thursdays

Chris Funnyman" Robinson, a Charlotte Native, has taken his show back to where it all started at Skandalos — a comedy and music club on Independence Boulevard. The opening night turned out to be more than what the comedian and crowd anticipated. The place was packed those who came early were sitting in groups at tables, while others found a spot near the bar. Stacey Blackman of Charlotte's Radio Station 92.7, was spinning the hottest hip-hop and R&B songs mixed in with old-school favorites blaring through the speakers. While many comedy shows draw their crowds based on the headliners, this show takes a slightly different approach by incorporating live entertainment and giving local artist and amateur comedians a chance to spotlight themselves.

Skip "Luciano" Gibbs from Durham, NC and Bud Eason from Waxhaw, NC. Each performer added to the hype of this event by showcasing their skills and talent!

SKIP LUCIANO RIPS LAUGH IT UP THURSDAYS
Skip Luciano performed Enjoy the High and Mr. Blu off his debut album scheduled to be released July 2011. Lyrically, Skip is nothing but the TRUTH! Representing Durham, North Carolina, Skip Luciano took the mic with such hunger that everyone in attendance got serviced. With a combination of his love for so many genres of music, Skip's unique voice, humble personality, and delivery is sure to send him on his way to become a well know artist on the "true" Hip-hop scene.

BUD EASON:THE NEW AND IMPROVED JON B!

Performing "What If" a single off his debut album took everyone in the audience by surprise.  Captivating the crowd with his smooth sound, no one expected such a big R&B sound to come out of this young, slim, caucasian from Waxhaw, North Carolina.  This young talented artist is definitely on the rise. Managed by Reggie Mungo of Rapp Management & Music Group, this talented singer displayed his range of music. Don't sleep on Bud Eason, his self-entitled album "Bud Eason is scheduled to release June 21st, and it is guaranteed to be an injection of hotness.
                                                                                                           

JAY LAMONT IS A ONE MAN SHOW
The Headliner for Thursday night was Jay Lamont, whom appeared on the first season of BET's ComicView and on Showtime At the Apollo, Russel Simmons Def Jam Comedy, and Jamy Foxx presents Laffapalooza. His stage show is so unbelievable; true meaning to one man show.  Jay's secret recipe to his success is his ability to perform in front of any type of audience by adapting his show to the demographics at hand. His show is one of a kind a clean upscale entertainer that mixes a dash of comedy with a sprinkle of impressions and a hand full of music creates "The Ultimate Entertainer"

"Laugh it Up Thursday" continues and is sure to be another stellar performance. Headliner is the talented "Doo-Doo Brown" from HBO Def Comedy Jam, P. Diddy Bad Boys of Comedy.
